View Invoice PDF – simply not generating viewable PDF Invoice. Just goes to blank page.

This recently stopped working within the last few updates.

I have meticulously checked my settings and have tried refreshing the EE Cache, I have reset and re-entered all of my events and I cannot get to get this work.

Pertaining to other issues have identified certain JS conflicts with with my Theme and other plugins. However, in my testing, the View PDF issue is not affected by these conflicting issues when they are active or deactivated.

My Registrations go through just fine, Credit Card Payment goes through just fine, and the thank you page comes up for both Credit Card payment and Invoice selections. The good news is that we still have communication with our Audience.

However the viewable PDF receipt just doesn’t show, and it’s a nice aesthetic. When the View PDF button is selected it generates a lengthy URL and the page stays blank.

An example event to try registration is: https://www.h11dfs.com/events/jtag-data-recovery-and-mobile-phone-repair-12/

Hi Michael,

Can you check your server’s PHP error logs for errors at the time you tried to view a PDF? The log should show an error, which will help us to investigate.

Josh, thank you for your response. I’ve just conducted a numbers of tests and have searched all possible error logs. It does not appear that the issue is indicating an error to the server which is strange.

I am actually having more issues than just this. They may be related.

AS stated, I have identified that my theme along with some certain plugs do conflict with Event Espresso 4 on TinyMCE JS issues that affect my backend event and category descriptions boxes.

I am however able to rename the JS file while I do my editing in the HTML Text box (Visual Tab will not work). I can rename the JS file and change it back when I am done.

In Events / Categories tab / edit category
I do not see |”Display Category Description in Event Listing? Choose whether the category description is displayed in the event listing or not.” Option.

I bring this up, because I am wondering if my theme and other plugins are overwriting some EE4 permissions. Thus displaying the View Invoice URL without accruing errors.

This is possibly related: The most recent EE related errors found in my log are from last week.

Hi there,

The errors indicate that your server is running low on memory, and that your installation of Event Espresso is missing a few files. You can bump up the amount of memory available to WP by following this guide:

Then, you can ensure your Event Espresso plugin installation isn’t missing any files, you download a fresh copy of the Event Espresso plugin from your account page. Please be sure you download version 4.8.10.p. Then you go to WP Plugins, then deactivate and delete the Event Espresso plugin. Then you upload the zip file you downloaded from your account page.
