My client needs an event system that can create and manage events at large locations, such as schools, with multiple buildings and rooms.
Is there a good way to set up all the internal event details, like timetables for student musician warm-up times and room assignments? How would this work? Can you give me some general details of the process and flexibility of the system?
Would each room have to be its own event location? Can a “master event” contain smaller “mini events” like:
1. This Presentation / Class is happening in this classroom at this time
2. These rooms are designated for student warm-ups
3. Award ceremony to be held in the gym
With your scenario, you may want to set up each “master event” on it’s own site using WP multisite. That way, each room “mini-event” could take advantage of the registration limit on time slots feature.
You could set up one “master site” where people could register for any of the “master events”, and once they register they are given member access to that event’s site. So registration for the “mini-events” would be restricted to people who have signed up for that “master event”.
