Venue Title in Database

Hi. Doing a custom query and pulling venue_title out of wp_events_detail, and it doesn’t show up – so I went to the dbase and checked the field – it is not populated. It is in the wp_events_venue under name.

Also noted when you delete an event in the interface it doesn’t delete from the database. What field would I run a ‘check’ on to not show events deleted in the EE interface?

Thanks!

Hi Ann,

Are you using the Venue Manager? If so, it will not use the venue fields in wp_events_detail. The venue manager uses wp_events_venue and wp_events_venue_rel. If you set the “Use venue manager” option to No in Event Espresso>General Settings, the venue info gets entered directly into the event editor, and stored in wp_events_detail.

With deleted events, they’ll have a value of D in the event_status field of wp_events_detail.

As an aside, you can delete a “deleted” event from the database by going to the event overview, then filter the status to show deleted events. Once you’re viewing the deleted events, an option will appear that’s labeled “Permanently Delete Events”.
