Vanco Payment Gateway – Missing Session ID

When making a payment using Vanco, I get a popup saying, “It appears your Vanco Session ID is missing.”

Please advise.

Is this something you can address right away with the purchase of a support token?

Hello,

I looked at some prior support posts for Vanco and a session ID error may indicate that there is a problem with the credentials that are in use.

1) Are you trying to accept live payments or are you in testing/debug mode? You can check through Event Espresso –> Payment Methods –> Vanco and then look for the debug option.

2) Does your website have an SSL certificate on it? For example, browsing to an HTTPS page on your site should work (e.g. https://example.com/events/)

Hi. I submitted the WordPress dashboard login as /wp-login it’s at /wp-admin.

You absolutely should get an SSL cert for your site if you want to protect your customer’s credit card information.

In response to your email about the IP address, we don’t have a static IP. The IP address you gave is now different.

If we get a static IP, will that resolve the issue?

Actually, I was told that we do have a static IP address. The one you provided in your email is not it.

Which I why I recommended contacting your host about verifying the IP address. What happened is I ran this code on your server:

$host= gethostname();
$ip = gethostbyname($host);
echo $ip;

and it returned the IP address I sent you.

I’ll send you another email with a specific error message from your server’s logs that you can forward to Vanco. Their error messages are indicating that your IP is being blocked by Vanco.
