Just wondering if anybody is using using Storefront Elegance WordPress Theme with Event Expresso and is satisfied with the themes performance.

Hi Chuck,

Are you referring to this theme? http://storefrontthemes.com/demo/elegance/
If so, it looks like they are enqueuing an old version of jquery (1.4.4), instead of what is included in WordPress. This could cause issues since that is a very old version of jQuery. You may want to inquire about that before purchasing the theme.

Thanks for your quick response Jonathan! This is the current site we are running with the theme Storefront Elegance: http://woolworthtours.com/
It seems to be working OK, as we have come up against many issues, the newest being able to export raw and simple data to an excel spreadsheet (totally a mess).
We like having the calendar on the front page. We are open to changing to a theme that works flawlessly. Suggestions?

WooThemes, StudioPress, Theme Foundry, and themesupply.co all make great themes and have good support.

Thanks for your response!
We have the check box (Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received?) set to no. The user is still receiving this confirmation email. How do we turn it off so the user does not get this email?

We are also seeing this error when exporting an event from event overview: The file format and extension of ……..xls don’t match. The file could be corrupted or unsafe. Unless you trust its source, don’t open it. Do you want to open it anyway?

When we open this .xls file some of the data is wrong! A person that has in fact made a Pay Pal purchase shows an incomplete purchase. This has caused many problems with our tour guides.

Hi Chuck,

If the “Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received?” setting is set to No, then the only way a user can receive the email is if the event is free or if the default payment status is set to Complete either in the General Settings or the Event itself.

What browser and browser version are you using to export the xls file?

When you say the data is wrong, is the export not matching the Attendee Overview or is the Attendee overview wrong as well?

Dean, thanks for the response!
The “Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received?” setting is set to No.
The event is not free.
The default payment status is set to Incomplete both in the General Settings and the Event itself.
Still sends out the Reg Confirmation email.

We are using Firefox as our browser.

The data in the export: about 10% of the time does not match the data in the Attendee Overview. The data in the Attendee Overview is correct.

Hi Chuck,

I ran a quick test and signed up for one of the events and did not get any email. Are you sure they’re not getting the until after the payment is made?

With the export data not matching up, it may be an import setting in your Office application. It’s sort of a misnomer that Event Espresso exports a .xls file, it turns out that it’s actually a csv file. Can you try importing the file as a CSV or use a different application?
