Using Iced Mocha without EE

I am building a new website and wanted to use the Iced Mocha theme, but haven’t yet purchased a license for EE for that site. When I attempt to configure the theme, I get:

Fatal error: Class ‘EE_Registry’ not found in /home/rhj4/public_html/connexionspoint.com/wp-content/themes/iced-mocha-master/includes/widgets.php on line 175

Is this by design? Can I use Iced Mocha now and install EE later or do I have to find a different theme?

Hi there,

It sounds like you need to pull the latest version of Iced Mocha from here:

https://github.com/eventespresso/iced-mocha

We added some code to prevent that error a little while back so I’m guessing you’re using an older version?

Hi Bob,

I’d actually recommend not using Iced Mocha for that website. There’s another theme that’s basically the same as Iced Mocha, but without all of the Event Espresso-added parts. You can download it here for free:
