Hello,

I am looking to use a formidable form to register guests to an event. I am wondering if the two plugins are capable of working together and still maintaining all the functionality of EE4 Premium. Just trying to clean & speed up the registration process.

Alternatively, if this above isn’t possible. How would I go about removing the default registration questions. They aren’t applicable to my form and I would only like to have what’s necessary for my users.

Thanks for the help in advance!

One other thing,

Is it possible to register for an event on the same page as the event list view? I would like to streamline the process as much as possible and keep the user on one page.

The idea would be to have the main content be the event list and the sidebar be the registration form with a dropdown to select the event they want to register for.

Let me know, thank you!

Hi there,

Not without extensive customization to the checkout process, you’d basically need to remove the current checkout steps and create your own using formidable. That level of customization is not something we can help with on the forums.

Alternatively, if this above isn’t possible. How would I go about removing the default registration questions. They aren’t applicable to my form and I would only like to have what’s necessary for my users.

First Name, Last Name and Email address aren’t applicable to your events?

If you remove those fields how will your attendee receive details of the registration?

It might be best to link us to one of your events and let us know which sectios you wish to remove.

If you go to Event Espresso -> Events -> Templates you will find a settings section the event list pages.

There you will find a ‘Display Ticket Selector’ option, set that to Yes to allow users to select the tickets for a specific event on the event list – http://take.ms/hn1ql

The idea would be to have the main content be the event list and the sidebar be the registration form with a dropdown to select the event they want to register for.

There’s nothing like that within EE currently but you could build out a widget with the dropdown and then redirect the user to the event page based on the dropdown selection.

I worded that incorrectly, my mistake. What I want to happen is to change the order in which they appear. I would like to have some of my custom questions from the question group appear before the personal information and only have one field asking about the users name.

I like this idea, could be a good workaround. I think ill do this and have the information pass along and autofill the registration form fields. Thanks!

Yes, you can change the order, but to be clear do you want to change the order of questions within the Personal Info group or you want to list another question group before the personal info group?

You can do both within the same section:

Event Espresso -> Registration Form -> Question Groups -> Personal Information.

Change the order of the fields on the right, and the order of the groups – http://take.ms/y1pGN

only have one field asking about the users name.

At a minimum EE requires First Name and Email.

It sounds like you want a ‘Full Name’ field, is that correct? Note that EE expects First Name to be used for First Name and is used as such for emails and various other sections within EE so I would advise against combining first and last name within that field.

What if I would like to intermix the questions? Could I do one custom question, then the personal group questions, then more custom questions?

Yes, you can.

It depends on the questions your using how you set that up, you can either set a custom question within the Personal Information group and list it at the top of that group, or create a new custom question group and list that group first.

We have some documentation on setting up new question groups here:

Ive got a redirect setup with the formidable form. I am getting all the formidable form fields values to transfer into the EE4 registration form and it will submit. My issue now is that I cant get an “event to be selected” for the registration page from the course listing view.

How does the registration form know which event is being registered? I dont see anything event specific in the url or on the form. Looking for a value or something i can pass along to navigate to an event specific registration page.

How does the registration form know which event is being registered?

It’s actually the data coming from the selections submitted to the Ticket Selector Form.
