Using Event Espresso for on going weekly classes and multi class passes

I am wanting to sell tickets to on going weekly classes. I will have either a single class pass or 5 class passes, for now there is only one weekly class / location. But eventually there will be several classes/week.

How would you recommend to set this up?

I currently have the class set as an event then add a new date time for each week (this looks like it could get cumbersome after several months of class with a massive list of date times plus this turns into a ridiculous list on the public site) Is there another way to do this?

When I sell single class passes I would like them to be able to select a date so it reduces the spots available for that particular date. But it appears when someone books it only reduces the number of tickets available.

Do you have any ideas or examples of how to best make this work? I noticed there was a recurring event plug in but it is only for EE3

Hi Jake,

To keep an accurate number of registrants, you would need to create the single pass option and the multi class option under one event.

This is because event abc cannot monitor tickets remaining from event xyz and vice versa.

One way to reduce the number of ticket options would be to cluster the events by date range. For example, a January course would only have dates for registration for January.

Is there a page that has a sample schedule so we can share feedback?

Hi Lorenzo,

I have set it up with each weekly class set up as a new date time. Then created 3 tickets 1day, 5day and 10day pass each ticket assigned to all eventdatetimes. Each eventdatetime has 16 spots available. But when I go to create tickets It will only allow me to have 16 of each. I can understand why ( to prevent over booking an event). But If I have 20 people booking in and planing to go to different classes, all 16 tickets will be used up before the classes are full. The only way I see it being possible to create a single ticket for each event. But that would get very clunky looking on the front end. Wouldn’t it make more sense for people to select a ticket then a date/time?

Any recommendations on a better way to do this?
