Has anybody used EE for signing up for classes, I’ve started planing but would like to hear from you guys if you found any bumps on the way, this is what the gym owner wants:
Only members can register ( and see ) Classes/schedule
– No problem to solve.
A limit of 3 classes to register at a time ( you can only sign up for a new class when one of your singed classes ends / cancel your sign up)
– Havent really looked in to it but seems pretty straight forward.
Simple class registration, used just before class to “sign in” IRL
– A simple one ( as far as I can tell…) but any ideas are welcome!
Simple way to keep the clients memberships in order
– How can the gym keep the clients memberships in order?
The gym works with one and half year cards, 10 and 5 times “tryout” cards.
The year cards give you total access BUT can be bought at any time ( not bought by season ).
Can EE handle this? Or should it be handled separate?
Easy way for clients to track their past classes, class diary
– This one is a little more interesting, (and outside of EE?) can the client keep track of their classes and progress. Link posts created by client to classes, keep them private (if the client chooses).
Im thinking buddypress, but it feels to big and clonky for this, comments was my first easy fix but the client should be able to keep it personal if they choose.
Hope some of you guys been down this road and can give me some pointers, the first three on the list are the starting point, last two are the phase II in the project.
You might want to look into a plugin like S2 member for handling the membership end of things. The WP user integration add-on that is included in the business license will let you tie into any membership system that also extends the WP-user system.
