User Submitted Events

I’m looking at implementing the ability for a user to submit events (and then be approved by admin), but I recall coming across a mention that it was currently being worked on in one of the support threads. I was wondering if this was still the case and if there was any date that we might be expected to see it?

I can confirm there has been some work toward this, but we do not have a release date.
