User submitted events

I am already a paying customer, but apart from my own site with workshops, I am thinking of setting up a site for my local area where organizations etc. can submit events to create a “Whats happening in my city” kinda site.

Is there a way to do this with EventEspresso? The ideal site would have a calendar, a grid view and a map view where you could get all the events today with a marker on the map.

It should allow one or two people to get access to add events for a venue. The venue info should only be updated by the admin as this should not change too much.

Hi Svein,

You could use the built-in capabilities system to set up a role for user accounts where they’d only have the ability to add events for specific venues, and they’d only be able to edit the events they add.
