Hello,

I’m wondering if there’s a way to have the user choose a date and time that they would like to book an event, for example, their birthday party. If that date was available, the user would then be able to book the event and pay online. Is this possible with Event Espresso?

We’re already using this plugin to show classes that the user can register for, but we need a separate feature for users that want to book their party online.

Appreciate your help.

Hi Nicole,

How are you today?

What you said is an important part of your question: “if that date was available”. Right now to say when a date is “available” you need to create an event. So, somehow you would have to setup a schedule of “available” dates, which is very similar to setting up a regular event. It sounds like to me that you should just consider how you display your events because something like this might be helpful: http://www.screencast.com/t/5UTSJRO6wA A similar template is available in the Custom Files addon (https://eventespresso.com/product/espresso-custom-files/).

Event Espresso doesn’t have a ‘datepicker’ question type, and like I said we have to specify which date(s) are available otherwise every datetime would be available.

Does that make sense?
