I have a few dozen users who regularly enter events in our current system (Eventbrite). We are trying to bring everything into WordPress, as well as provide some sort of mechanism where we can police submissions for bad grammar, spelling, etc. What I would like is the ability for my users to enter their events and have them go into a “holding” pattern until an Administrator approves them (or modifies them as needed). Much in the same vein as Contributors/Authors/Editors for regular posts. Does the R&P, WP User Integration, or some combination of the two allow me to do that?
In the General Settings you have the Enable attendee pre-approval feature? option, which can be turned on. This then needs to be turned on in each event where you want the pre-approval system. This will mark there registration as incomplete and make an Approval Required note on their entry in the attendee overview page.
I’m talking more about the actual event itself, not the attendee pre-approval. A vast majority of our events aren’t going to have registrations at all (just using the CPT function to get them on our calendar). We want to be able to have an Administrator approve all events before they go live on the site. Is that a little clearer?
Right I see, well if the users are registered as Event Managers via Roles and Permissions Pro add on, there is a setting in the User Permissions options page called “Events created by “Event Managers” require approval?” which will do what you ask.
