Hello, I have two questions. First, can Event Espresso be set up to allow users to create their own “conferences”? Second, every event we will be creating on our site is similar to a one-day conference. One ticket that will have 5-7 “sessions” or stops throughout the day. I need to be able to list all the stops for the day and the sponsors for each stop. How could I make that happen in Event Espresso? Thanks! |
Hi there,
You can setup a user role that only has access to create/edit ‘their’ events and registrations etc within the admin. We do not currently have any kind of front end event submissions.
It depends how you want the information displayed. You could create 5-7 ‘datetimes’ within the event, 1 for each ‘stop’ and add the sponsor details to the datetime description. The single ticket within the event can then be applied to all of the datetimes within the event. Another option is to use a single datetime and single ticket but include all of the ‘stops’ and sponsor details within the event description. Do you have an example of how you want to display the data? If so I can show you the closest example from EE. |

Hi Tony, Here is an example of what I’d like to be able to accomplish: A page that lists all upcoming events, then when the title of an event is clicked on, the user is taken to that event’s page. The event page will have a picture holder for the event, will list the location, all the session/stops, all the sponsors, etc. (like below) ABC Charity Event Is this possible in EE4? |
That sounds like the default outpt for EE.
Yes so you would create multiple ‘datetimes’ within the event and a single ticket assigned to all of them. You can then add those details (and links) within the datetime description to output the details on the page, the links would be external so the map link would link to google maps and would need to be manually setup, or you could create EE venues for each of location and link to that – http://take.ms/zuMOx |
