I’m looking to have the facility to create an event, where the event owner can then add an attendee list.
When the list is done, the people named on it can login, using a single, event-specific username/password. Once logged in, they can confirm attendance and pay any required registration fee for the event.
Is this possible in EE3/4?
Does EE even create a user role for the event owner to do manage the event?
Hi Migs, this sounds like an invitation-to-register system which is different than how the WP user integration + Event Espresso 3 works.
An attendee/registrant will need to go through an initial registration. At that time, an account is created for them and sent via email.
On future registrations, the attendee can then login and complete registration checkout quicker since their name, email, address, and phone number will be pre-filled in the registration form.
Regarding user roles, by default an administrator will be able to manage all events since they can access all areas of Event Espresso. If you use the Roles and Permissions add-on with Event Espresso 3, then you’ll have some additional roles created.
One of them is event manager which is a restricted user role that manages its own events. For example, if you had event manager A and event manager B, then they would only be able to see their own events.
However, a user role of administrator would be able to access all events in Event Espresso.
