Hi,
I have a question regarding cookies used by EE.
As you might know EU has adopted a new regulation on data protection (GDPR) that will come into force in May 2018. This new law introduces new requirements as to informing users about cookies used on one’s website.
I know that EE installs the ee_cookie_test (content: ect5a706ee36f5921.62680159).
I was asked by the legal department of one of my clients what sort of information is stored in this cookie and how it’s used. They need it to rephrase terms and conditions section of their website.
Could you please help me whit this?

Hi Paulina,
You can add the following code to your site:
add_filter( 'FHEE__EE_Front_Controller____construct__set_test_cookie', '__return_false' );
We recommend adding the above to a functions plugin. What this will do is stop the EE cookie test, and with that gone you won’t need to rephrase anything.
