Sorry, the original post was in the wrong Sub-forum.

Hey guys,
I’ve got another plugin meant to send out an e-mail about an event, I’d like to parse that e-mail and use the same shortcodes that are available in the EE messages.
Any idea on how I can accomplish this?
Thanks,
Greg Borbonus

Hi Greg,

The EE messages shortcodes aren’t normal shortcodes, they do not use the standard WP shortcode api and are registered/parsed all within the messages system itself so using those shortcodes outside of the messages system is not possible currently.

Ok, anyway to tie a different message template into the system?

Like call message system, load my template and get the output or even send the message through the EE messaging system?
