Use an external cart (like Cartloom)

I know only enough coding to be a dangerous end user. Therefore, I don’t want to go through the effort of acquiring/installing an SSL certificate to enable me to use Stripe with Event Espresso.

I already use a service (Cartloom) as a front end for Paypal or Stripe for many of our other transactions. Great front end for customers and easy to use for me.

Is there a way I can use Cartloom for my Event Espresso Events? I know with EE that I can select Paypal and benefit from Paypal’s security but I hate their UI. And as for Stripe, I need to add security for my EE page, and that’s a bit of a pain. I’d rather use Cartloom.

Is there a way to do that from within Event Espresso?.

Hello Harvey,

This functionality does not currently exist in Event Espresso. It would take custom development to accomplish it. We aren’t currently taking on any custom development projects at this time, but if you would like to post a free job posting on http://jobs.eventespresso.com, you are welcome to. Also, let us know if you would like us to put you in contact with one of our preferred outside developers.

No thanks, Jonathan. I already have a custom development project going on with Seth.

For this one, I suspect it will be less costly for me to just figure out how to use Stripe with EE tools.

Agreed, Harvey.

You can get a free SSL from http://startssl.com. Then all you need is to set up your Stripe gateway in the Payment Settings of Event Espresso.
