Hello:
As registrants move through the registration process the url indicates they are registering for an even in the past. So for example:
https://couplesinstep.com/events/hold-me-tight-couples-retreat-september-27-29-2019-2/ really should be https://couplesinstep.com/events/hold-me-tight-couples-retreat-february-28-march-1-2020/
This probably happened because I copied the Sept 27-29 event page and then edited for the Feb 28-Mar 1 event without changing the slug. I will change the slug the next time and leave as is for now.

My question though: After an EE event is concluded, the EE registrations deleted and the EE event deleted, what happens to the event in terms of 301’s or 400’s or other such error messages?

Hi Irene,

This probably happened because I copied the Sept 27-29 event page and then edited for the Feb 28-Mar 1 event without changing the slug.

Correct, if you duplicate an event it will have the same slug with -N on the end (N being a number, often 2 but it depends on how many other slugs have matched).

After an EE event is concluded, the EE registrations deleted and the EE event deleted, what happens to the event in terms of 301’s or 400’s or other such error messages?

If the event has been deleted a the user goes directly to the URL for that event they will get error 404 page not found and will display whatever your theme is set to display for those.

There are no 3XX redirects set up by Event Espresso.

Thanks Tony. And I am assuming that EE does not have any way of managing 404 errors? Correct? I need to turn to my web person to help me here with either a plug in or through the hta access file, correct?

If you’re going to be deleting events and also want to add redirects for the old event URLs that were just deleted, you could use the redirection plugin or similar.
