Just by way of background our site has had no upgrades or changes or even logged into EE for months, and all seem to be working, just got a call from a client saying our calender was empty. when logging into EE in backend of wordpress I got the following message Error: I then logged into the wordpress site to remove the plugin delete it then I downloaded the lastest version from your website and then uploaded it, and got another error on activating it The following errors have occurred: There were errors creating the Event Espresso database tables and Event Espresso has been deactivated. To view the errors, please enable WP_DEBUG in your wp-config.php file. I am not a developer tech, but i need to get my site up and going ASAP. I cant see events or history or anything, |
Hi there, Generally that error is thrown when WordPress can not create new tables within the database but we need to see what error is being thrown above with WP_DEBUG enabled. Do you have FTP access to the site? If so add |

I have sent you access to your support email address |
Please do not send log in details directly via email, its much more secure to use the form here: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ I checked your email and it does not include WP Admin details so I wouldn’t be able to view the error after enabling WP_Debug, can you create a temporary admin account within the dashboard and send both the login details for that account and the ftp credentials using the above form please. |

I sent you access through the form |
Thank you. So the error being thrown on your site is:
Event Espresso uses InnoDB to create its tables in your WP database, that error means it was not available when EE tried to use it. To fix this you will need to contact your using company, it needs to be fixed on the server side rather than within EE. If you create a ticket with your hosting company and provide them with the above error they should be able to get that fixed up for you. |
