Upload Document as sign of payment

We deal with numerous educators who choose to pay using what’s called a PO. Basically, it is a piece of paper indicating that the school will pay for their workshop. To allow this option as one of the payment methods, we altered the check payment option to say, “Purchase Order”.

However, once they select this option and submit their registration, we have to chase down payment, which leads me to my question:

If someone selects Purchase Order as their method of payment. Is there a way for them to upload the Purchase Order?

Second, if this option is available, can we make it required when they select Purchase Order?

Therefore, in order for them to finalize registration, a document has to be uploaded only when Purchase Order is selected?

Hi Jenn,

Event Espresso doesn’t currently have a feature that will make a way to upload a purchase order after selecting a payment method. Here’s what you can do today though:

1) You use a plugin like Gravity Forms or Ninja Forms, (both have options for uploading files), and you create a purchase order upload form. You can put the form on a page of your website.

2) Then, in the payment instructions section of the Check Payment option you’ve set up, you can add a link to the page that has the purchase order upload form.

Another option is you can use this plugin to add a file upload question to the registration form, the difference there though is the file upload will happen on the registration form step.
