Upgraded from 3 to 4 and none of the events work properly

I upgraded from 3 to 4 and none of the events work anymore. they are all there, but nothing works as far as the cart and etc. All that is listed is the text from the text field editor.

Seeing as I am just considering an upgrade – this is not encouraging. I am following the topic to see if I want to move forward or not.

Hi Willow Marketing,

It looks like you’ve reactivated EE3, we can investigate further on why the events are not working with EE4, but first, can you resend the redeem a support token form and include FTP credentials? Thank you.

You sent an email saying I could resend the “redeemed support token form” in order to send over the ftp information. I’ve tried to reach the form, but It keeps taking me back to purchase a token. please advise.

We got your second form. You mentioned the shortcodes were not working. The thing about EE3 shortcodes is they are not the same as the shortcodes for EE4. So if you’re using a short code like
[ESPRESSO_CART_LINK] in a template or on a page, the closest equivalent in EE4 is
[ESPRESSO_TICKET_SELECTOR]. So if you’re using shortcodes like the above, you’ll need to update your shortcodes when you migrate to EE4. Also , if you have your events set to not display a registration form, when you migrate to EE4, you’ll need to make sure that the “Display Ticket Selector” option is set to Yes. Otherwise the event info will be displayed, but there will not any means to start a registration.
