I just updated to Event Espresso 4 Core Regular v4.8.4.p but am unable to upgraded PHP to version 5.4.44 with my hosting provider at this time. Should I downgrade my EE version to work with PHP 5.4.43?

Hi Rosemary,

It turns out that Event Espresso 4.8.4 will work just fine with PHP 5.4.43. The reason we are now recommending PHP 5.4.44 is because 5.4.44 is the very latest version of PHP 5.4 and has some fixes that PHP 5.4.43 didn’t have. We occasionally update our recommendation so it matches the latest release. Your host may have even patched their version of PHP 5.4.43 to include the latest fixes.
