Hi, I am running wordpress 3.5.2 with Event Espresso 3.0.18.b.23. |
|
Hi Rob, We had someone else query this recently and the developers suggest a full clean and reinstall (remove Event Espresso tables and plugins and start from scratch). Whilst not ideal, it may be worth cloning your existing site as a sub domain to retain the data. IF you decide to try to update on the existing site, then first off you will not be able to access the old data and secondly there may be unknown issues as a result of the vast difference in database structure which is likely only resolvable by a clean and reinstall. |

Hi Dean, |

Hi, It does require some database manipulation but its fairly basic. You would need to first back up the database and then remove all the Event Espresso plugins and the remove the tables associated with Event Espresso. They should contain the word event. After that is a case of downloading the latest plugins and re-installing them. |

Hi Dean, Can you tell me what is wrong? |
|
I have found that the WP Automatic Upgrade plugin is somehow clashing with the new version or something. Disabling auto u/g solves the problem in so far as I can activate ee but co no longer activate wp auto u/g. Would be good to be able to use both plugins. However, I have a new issue too: |
Hi there, I checked your site and it looks like there are quite a few template files from an older version of Event Espresso in the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates directory. Those should be removed or you can also rename the directory so that the templates from the new version of Event Espresso can load. |
