Okay, I’m getting concerned.  This is the THIRD time I’ve tired to post a question.  I don’t see any copies of my posts anywhere…?  Help?

I have not updated in several months and it won’t let me update to current EE version.  In fact, it doesn’t even give me a zip file when I download it.

Help?

Hi.

You should find links to your previous posts on your Account Page: http://www.screencast.com/t/Bo3FkRgS6

What version of Event Espresso do you currently have installed? One-click upgrades are only available after Event Espresso 3.1.24 (or something near that). Are you also describing that you can’t download the file from your account page? http://www.screencast.com/t/vTuzfdfz

Hello Garth!

Thanks for your reply!

Okay, I tried to upload the new version (my old one was 3.1.29.1P) after I deleted the old one and it gives this error:

Unpacking the package…

Installing the plugin…

Destination folder already exists. /home/content/54/7731954/html/proactiveactors/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/

Plugin install failed.

Ideas?

Thanks so much!

Garth!

Never mind!  I just looked again and it was there in my plugins.  Lemmie look and see what happens now and if it’s all working okay!

Thanks!

Hi there,

You’ll need to deactivate and delete the old version before you upload and install the new version. Please be sure to backup your database first.

Thanks so much!

I got all to install/update and I’m good on all that now.  Got everything updated to latest versions. Thanks!

My calendar still does not appear though. 🙁  Any ideas?

What version of the calendar are you running? We recently updated the calendar add-on to be compatible with the version of jQuery that is included in core WordPress.

Hi there,

I checked your site and the issue is coming from the nivo slider plugin, specifically where it adds its own copy of jQuery to the page:

<script type="text/javascript" src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.5.1/jquery.min.js"></script>

Here’s your calendar page with the above script removed:

If you go to the page for the Nivo Slider for WP you’ll notice that the author is discontinuing it. I’d suggest finding a different slider plugin. Meteor Slides is an excellent choice.

Can I just say how awesome you all are?!

Thank you so much!  No problem once I got rid of Nivo.  I’m going now to check out Meteor Slides!

Thanks so much, again! 🙂
