wordpress says there is an update available, but when i try to update it has an error because the file is not available, it then says ” You need a valid Site License Key to enable automatic upgrades. Your current membership level does not allow automatic upgrades on more than one domain.” but i only have one domain and it is set to the correct domain so i dont know what the issue is and could use some help

the only thing i could think of is the domain is technically and alternate domain with the hosting service im using, but everything is installed and registered to the domain that uses event espresso so i dont think that would be a problem

I see on your account that you have the license key active on: bro***|\***|\***|*ent.com

Do you possibly have two versions of Event Espresso installed? You need to only have one version and then delete the old version.

I’m having the same issue.
I don’t have Lite version installed.
I have the following messages

There is an automatic update for Espresso Groupon available but your Site License Key has not been set. Please go to the Event Espresso General Settings page to set your Site License Key for this addon.

&

There is a new version of Espresso Recurring available. View What’s New with version 1.1.7. You need a valid Site License Key to enable automatic upgrades. Your current membership level does not allow automatic upgrades on more than one domain. Please log into your account to manage your Site License Keys or purchase a support license now.

@alex,

The error usually means that there is an older version of Event Espresso installed in the plugins directory.

@sfaber,

Try removing the license key from the general options page, then save. Then re-enter the key and save.

Which version of Event Espresso is currently active?

Also, it looks like there is a reset pending on your account, so try entering the key onto the site that’s listed on the account page.

I will need to check with the developer of the plugin updater on this. I do not know why it’s not working for you.

What are the exact messages you are getting when you try to update?

alex cates

July 10, 2012 at 7:56 am

now, on the plugin page it says this under event espresso
“There is a new version of Event Espresso available. View What’s New with version 3.1.24.1.P. You need a valid Site License Key to enable automatic upgrades. Your current membership level does not allow automatic upgrades on more than one domain. Please log into your account to manage your Site License Keys or purchase a support license now.

There is a new version of Event Espresso available. View version details. Automatic update is unavailable for this plugin.”

and when I try to update it says this
“An error occurred while updating Event Espresso: Update package not available..”

right after the reset it said something like “An error occurred while updating Event Espresso: Service not available..”

Make sure that you do not have multiple versions of the add-ons installed.
