I would like to update EE and WP but I am unable to because EE tells me:
“You need a valid Site License Key to enable automatic upgrades. Your current membership level does not allow automatic upgrades on more than one domain. Please log into your account to manage your Site License Keys or purchase a support license now.”
I have a valid Site License Key and I’m using EE 3.1.27.1.P. How do I go about resolving this so I do the updates? Also, is it possible to update EE from within WP or do I have to download the new version and then upload it to the site?
What we can do is reset the key for your site. I’ll reset that right now, and what you can do next is go to Event Espresso>General settings on your site and remove the key there and save. Then you can go to your account page and copy then paste the key from the account page into the key field in Event Espresso>General Settings, then save again.
Once your key is reset, you should be able to use the auto update feature, with the exception being if the WordPress is installed as Multisite, in which case the auto update feature isn’t compatible.
When you update to 3.1.29.1, please check for any templates in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates, these will need to be manually updated, the plugin updater does not update these files. Also, some add-ons (groupon and permissions) may not display a autoupdate notification, so please check your account page for the latest versions of these add-ons if you are using them.
You can also manually update Event Espresso by downloading the plugins from your account page and follow this guide:
