When we first installed the Event Espresso plugin and Calendar, we were unable to add images to the calendar thumbnails and were instructed to, instead, use the BETA version of the Calendar. We now need to update to the newest version of the Calendar and are hesitant since we are using the BETA version. Currently our website is running Event Espresso 3.1.36.5.P and Event Espresso – Calendar Version 2.3.0-BETA. Can we follow the instructions for manually updating to the latest version of the Calendar, or is there something else we need to consider before doing that? Thanks!
I went ahead and kept a copy of the BETA version of the calendar. I then deactivated the BETS version and uploaded the E4 version. I have this code displaying on the calendar page: [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR show_expired=”true”]
Do I need to adjust the code for the newest version of the calendar now to make it work?
Also, note I haven’t installed the E4 core update yet. Will that affect the settings I’m getting on the Calendar page? And should I delete the older version first before uploading the new one? Just making sure we won’t lose all of our past event contact information and management settings. Thanks again!
Since you are running Event Espresso 3, you’ll need to install the calendar add-on that’s compatible with Event Espresso 3. The calendar add-on for Event Espresso 4 is only compatible with Event Espresso 4.
The current version of the Event Espresso 3 compatible calendar is the “Events Calendar Add-on v2.2.4.p”. Please be sure to download the plugin files from the EE3 tab on your account page while using Event Espresso 3.
