That’s by design because once a promotion has been applied to a ticket price, if you were to remove the promotion from an event, the accounting figures will no longer be correct. Instead of removing the promotion, you can disable the promotion so it’s no longer usable by setting its expiration date to yesterday.
That’s how I was managing it, but wanted to make sure there was no other way…sigh.. I have a couple of groups that can’t make up their minds on their promotions and continue to tweak a promo after it was launched. Since the promo code was released, it has to stay the same, so I’m glad I can create an identical code with different dates.
