Hi, I just updated to 4.9.0 Now I got two issues: 2) Another attendee wrote an email, that he could not register at all. He got an error message at the end of the process, saying “Your form data could not be applied to any valid registrations.” I searched for this error in this forum and changed the php memory limit to a higher value (from 40MB to 256MB). Is there something else I can do? (Un)fortunately I cannot reproduce this error as I have no problems to register at all. Thanks for any help! |
Hello, Could you go to Event Espresso –> Registrations and then look for the recent registration? Next, in the right area of the screen, you’ll see an actions column and there is an option to send the registration details. On the second issue, raising the memory is a good start. Have any other registrants/attendees reported the issue? — |

Hi Lorenzo, > Could you go to Event Espresso –> Registrations and then look for the recent registration? Yes. I could send it manually. But it is supposed to be sent automtically, right. I’ll keep an eye on that issue as it happend only once until now. > On the second issue, raising the memory is a good start. This is really weird. The person now wrote another email, that she tried to register every day and after 2-3 days she finally made it (on the second try on that day). What else (besides raising memory) can I try? > Have any other registrants/attendees reported the issue? The problem is, that I can register without any problems so I can’t narrow down the issue very well :-/ The error message “Your form data could not be applied to any valid registrations.” sounds weird to me, too. I’ll appreciate every help! Thanks. |
Hi there,
Yes it should, however if your site is running low and memory it could have exceeded the memory limit during the queue, generating or sending step for that message which would cause problems. Upping the memory limit would help with this but we need to know if it happens again since you’ve updated the limit.
Its possible it was a bad browser cache, unlikely but possible. Issues that happen for a single user over x amount of time that seems to ‘randomly’ fix itself would normally point to some kind of error on the users end although obviously I can’t say for sure without being able to reproduce the error.
You can if another user reports the issue, we are trying to see if this is a single occurrence from a single user or multiple users. If you’ve had no reports from other users we can’t be sure right now but if you did have at least another report it changes the troubleshooting steps.
That error is a general error meaning that something went wrong and EE could not find the users registration using their session. Unfortunately the cause can be anything but EE did not have any more specific error to provide. Have you checked within the servers error logs to see if there are any error being thrown? If not I would recommending doing so as it may well provide further clues to the cause. Do you have a test event we can run some registrations on to see if we can reproduce? |
