Hello,
I just updated to version 4.6 and now I cannot access EE – the error message I get is “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

Did you run through the migrations for 4.6.0?

Can you trying loading:

/wp-admin/admin.php?page=espresso_about

and

/wp-admin/admin.php?page=espresso_maintenance_settings

Including your domain at the beginning on those urls, for example:

http://www.example-site.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=espresso_maintenance_settings

Neither page loaded but a banner came up saying that I need to migrate my existing EE4.4.9.p (Core) data to EE4.5.0 (Core). So I’ll need to backup the site otherwise if I choose not to migrate, my entire event will be lost it says..

Hi there,

When you update to a major new version like 4.6 from 4.4, Event Espresso needs to migrate the event, registration, and payment data. We highly recommend backing up your database before running the migration just in case you want to revert back to 4.4.

You can back up your database by using a database backup plugin for WordPress or by following this guide:
