I updated my site tonight to 5.0.21p from 5.0.20p, and noticed the Spots Remaining column then vanished off the main page. I really need the Spots Remaining column as it sets out checkout apart from others like it, and introduces a sense of urgency for users to go ahead and register. I have an image of how it looked before the column vanished: Can you please help me figure out why it vanished, and how I can bring it back? There were also 3 other plugins updated at the same time: There is a chance one of those other plugins affected it and not the EE4 update, but I have my doubts. Worth noting though. Thanks in advance. |

I notice my screenshot did not post properly. It’s at https://drive.google.com/file/d/18u07452Ylpl9pquV065y0T_0dSSjAHMP/view?usp=sharing |

It seems you have customized template. Did you update your theme? or change child theme? Check the guide here. If you did not change theme or child theme where you add the code before, you can check the plugin conflict. You can use https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/ or any similar plugin. You can do the above using Troubleshooting mode: Tools -> Site Health -> Troubleshooting -> Enabled Troubleshooting mode. That will disable all plugins and then allow you to enable specific plugins troubleshooting mode. Once disabled you will revert back to the current state. thanks |

Hi there, Just to add some additional context to Rio’s reply. The screenshot shows the Table view template: https://eventespresso.com/product/eea-events-table-view-template/ That add-on does not include a ‘Spots remaining’ column by default but it does all for custom templates to be loaded within the theme’s root directory. Updating Event Espresso itself shouldn’t change the output from that add-on but updating/switching the theme would then mean the custom template no longer existed to load.
None of those would conflict with EE here. —- Check within your theme’s root directory, does you have a template file for the events table within that? The default would be called |

Hmm, I took a look but was unable to find any files in the theme (or its child’s) root directories that I could immediately see. Maybe I’m not looking well enough. I remember years ago having to do something to get the spots remaining working, but I just don’t remember where I put this. I likely accidentally updated Avada theme over top of this (that’s the theme I’ve always been using, with a child). But I still am not finding it in my host’s file manager (I don’t have a very good search function but I tried to look manually and eventually gave up). I did pull the shortcode I have been using from that main page for the table. It is: [ESPRESSO_EVENTS_TABLE_TEMPLATE show_expired=false table_paging=false table_sort=false table_pages=20 table_search=false order_by=start_date category_filter=false] I’m curious what I have done here. I have backups of the site, but I don’t want to restore them because in the interim students *have* been registering OK (thank goodness). |

To add, I also checked avada -> custom CSS and didn’t find anything relevant in there either. Sorry I’m not sure where else I should be looking. |

Its not a css but a custom php code, If you did change your theme or your child theme, that should be the cause of it. Since you did put the template the root directory. In order to put it back, either you restore it to your local machine, then grab that file and upload it to appropriate directory. Or you can just follow the guide here. here’s the code you can use thanks |

I was finally able to locate that template file and boom, it started working again. Issue resolved. I’ve taken some documentation in case it happens again. Just throwing the old backed up file into the child theme folder per the github link did the trick. Thank you for the support. |
