Hello Hussain,

What version are you updating from? Have you tried a manual update via FTP?

Hi Dean,

Am i supposed to replace the origional files i have? would that not over write all my settings and customizations?

Hi

Here is a guide to updating https://eventespresso.com/wiki/updating-event-espresso/

You can rename the old event-espresso folder temporarily if you want to keep a backup.

The settings are saved in the database so they will not get touched, but it is always advisable to backup your database before updating plugins as a precautionary measure.

If you have modified files in the uploads/espresso directory they will not get deleted. However, since your version there may have been changes to the templates so you will need to compare and contrast your current templates with the new ones and modify as necessary.

If you have modified the files directly in the event-espresso directory then you will need to copy these (or rename as above) otherwise yes they will be over written.

I’ve updated it,
fortunately the custom template didn’t changed
but nothing change in the administrator only the version number 3.1.28.4

I need the waiting list for attendees and also the discount for multiple event which provided by the new update but I cant find it in both admin side / templates

Hi, here is the change log that will tell you what has been added or changed in the versions – https://eventespresso.com/wiki/change-log/

If you mean the Volume Discount add on it can be found here, it is still in Beta. https://eventespresso.com/support/documentation/pre-release-downloads/

I am not sure what you are referring to regarding the “waiting list for attendees”. Waiting lists have been available for a fair number of versions now https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-a-waiting-list-for-your-event/
