Upcoming Events Widgets – Description as html

Is it possible to change the description in the Upcoming Events Widget, which appears to be a text excerpt, to the html description from the event?

Yes. You can copy any/all of the html from the event description field and paste it into the Excerpt field. Any html in the excerpt field will be used in the widget.
