I’m having a recurring issue with the “upcoming events” EE widget and Divi. I’ve been trying to add the widget to Divi’s sidebar module, which can essentially act as a widget area for placing widgets into Divi layouts. I create a widget area, add the “Upcoming Events” widget, then go into my Divi theme layout and select that widget area to display. When I click “save” on the page editor, Divi’s visual builder works fine, but the widget strips all of the CSS and fails to load the “edit” page on the back-end (only showing the HTML output of the widget on a white screen).
I’ve tried searching for a solution, but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I’m using EE 4.9.33 and the latest version of WordPress.

Hi there,
Are you familiar with WP Debug? Turning on WP debugging will help us understand the error that has occurred. Could you temporarily turn on WordPress debugging by adding the macro in the following link to your wp-config.php file?

The wp-config.php file can be found in the WordPress root which is where the wp-admin, wp-content, and other files and folders for WordPress resides.
Then please try to trigger the error and you should see something on the screen. Could you please copy and paste that here into a reply?
If you do not see an error on your screen, then please browse to this location using your SFTP or FTP client (e.g. FileZilla, Cyberduck):
/wp-content/debug.log
You should see an error recorded within the file. Please copy and paste that here in a reply.
Then go ahead and deactivate WordPress debugging by removing the macro that was recently added or setting it to false and saving changes:
