I have an event set to unapproved status so the registration isnt completed until an admin approves the registration. Shouldn’t EE notify the site admin when there is an event that is pending approval? How does that work? There have been multiple registrations for the event and the registrants are getting notified that it is pending approval but the admin needs to know also that there are events waiting on approval. Can we do this?
Go to Event Espresso –> Messages and look for the not approved message type and then click on Event Admin and add the following shortcode to the TO field and save changes:
Thanks a lot! I dont see anywhere to “turn it on”. How can I do that? When I select the notification template and select settings I am presented with a list of “active” templates. It shows on the active list already.
Find the Not Approved Registration message template and click on the ‘Event Admin’ link to edit that specific context – http://take.ms/77Ffp
When a specific context has been disabled (in this case the Event Admin context of the Not Approved Message type) it means the ‘To’ field has been set to nothing. So when you click that link you’ll see something like this – http://take.ms/hI3Pi
In the To field add the [EVENT_AUTHOR_EMAIL] shortcode and save the settings.
That should enable the Event Admin context, if you view the message list again, the Event Admin link should now be blue. Not Approved messages will now send an email to the author of the event when a user registers.
