Two PayPal Accounts

I would like to be able to send money from PayPal to two different bank accounts. When I set up an event, I’d like to specify which account will be the recipient of the PayPal payment. Is this possible? How? Thanks, Bennie

Hi there,

2 accounts within a single PayPal account or 2 separate PayPal accounts?

If you ant some events to use PayPal account 1 and others to use PayPal account 2, then you can use the Payment Methods Pro which basically allows you to create multiple ‘instances’ of payment methods and then select which one should be used on the event.

So you would create 2 PayPal payment methods, set each to use the correct account and then select the correct payment method on each individual you want to us it on.

I presently have two bank accounts linked to one PayPal account. Is there a way to direct a given event to one or the other? Would I need the add-on in this case?

I understand if I had two PayPal accounts, I could just get the add-on and be done with it.

Thanks. BTW….I think you guys should add to your future enhancement list that in the Event Edit Screen…the Payment Methods box should show the “nickname” of the account and not PayPal Express 1, PayPal Express 2. You can’t actually see the full name you are selecting.

This is what is shown:
“Select which payment methods will be usable when buying tickets for this event. Only one payment method of each type can be usable on an event at a time.

Check do not use Check
Invoice do not use Invoice
Paypal Express do not use
PayPal Express 2” [though the full name is not shown…so you don’t know for sure which acct is which….unless you remember the order number you assigned]

The latter two should say something like

or whatever the user has selected as the payment name.

Hi there,

First, thank you for the feedback.

The payment method names not displaying fully is a bug that has now been fixed in the next version of the payment methods pro add-on.

The ‘nickname’ you are referring to is a feature we already have. As you are within the admin the names used to display the payment methods are the ‘Admin-Only Name’ values.

For your example above go to Event Espresso -> Payment methods.

Edit the PayPal Express 1 payment method and set the ‘Admin-Only Name’ value to ‘My PP 1’ then save.

Edit the PayPal Express 2 payment method and set the field to ‘My PP 2’

The payment methods will switch to use that ‘nickname’ within the admin and will display using that in the event editor:
