When I look at my installed plugins list, I see two instances of EE (3.1.36.2.P & 3.1.37.12.P) If I try to delete version 3.1.36.2.P from the plugin menu, it won’t fully delete. Having the same issues with deleting the associated event-espressoback folder with FTP. I renamed the folder and version I’m trying to delete from WP admin, it references the new folder path name when telling me it can’t delete the plugin. Is there a reason this is there? Also, even tho I took a local backup before trying the deletes, I’m getting a lot of errors when trying to re-upload the files. Worried I buggered something up really good. How do I get a clean set of files? |
Hi there,
Just to confirm, it’s the 3.1.37.12 version that is activated correct? The other is de-activated?
That sounds like a permissions issue on your site, you’ll need to contact your host to have them fix it for you.
Good, it confirms your deleting the correct directory, the one that had 3.1.36.2
No, it’s no from EE itself, it looks like a backup of a previous version ws bad by renaming the You should be able to delete and it you can’t do it through both the plugin menu and FTP then something is wrong the permissions on your site, it seems your current user doesn’t have the correct permissions to remove that directory.
You can download a fresh version of EE from your account page, however, I don’t advise trying to remove and re-upload Event Espresso before you have contacted your host and have them at least confirm the permissions are correct as there is something else happening on your site. You may end up removing EE and then be unable to re-upload the ‘clean’ versions as it stands now. |
