Hi,

We just installed EE4 and we are trying to turn off certain parts of the new event page. Our current needs will not require tickets and the author fields. How should we turn these off. I can’t seem to find anything that speaks to turning on and off features on the event page. Thanks for any help you can give.

Lisa

Hi Lisa,

The author field issue is likely the way the theme displays it’s posts. Now that Event Espresso 4 is custom post type based, if the theme displays the author name on the front end for a regular blog post, an event post will display this information to. Usually this sort of thing can be hidden with CSS, but the theme that you are using may have a better way to handle this. You can contact the theme author to see if they have a way to not display the theme author on the post.

With the events that don’t require tickets issue, we’re going to add an option in a future version that will allow for events to not display the ticket selector. If you’re looking to display events that aren’t set up for ticket sales or registration, Event Espresso 3 may be the better option right now.

Thanks Josh, I suspected it would mean hiding in CSS but wanted to check to make sure. Thanks again.
