Turning off comments should be easy – how do I do it for an event? Event Expresso Version 4.9.57, WP 4.9.4, Theme Exhibit by Generate Press

This looks like an ongoing issue for people, why haven’t you solved it?

Comments are a vulnerability, and no one has the time to filter out the spam.

Hi MeAIMH,

Comments are actually a standard WordPress feature. I’m not sure why you think this is an ongoing issue for people, it’s a simple fix if you want to deactivate comments site wide. You can install this plugin to turn off comments everywhere on your site:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-comments/
