Hi, I offer information about paid events via Event Espresso. However, I don’t want to have automatic invoice generation active at the moment and therefore I don’t want to see the “Payment Overview” area displayed at the end of a booking. An invoice is also linked here. I don’t want that. How can I turn this off?

Hi there,
The easiest way to do that is just use CSS to hide those elements from the page.
Additionally, you can also turn off the Invoice in the message settings.
Event Espresso > Messages > Settings > HTML > move the Invoice to the Inactive box. Here is a screenshot: https://www.screencast.com/t/rL1FZB4R

Registrations are required to select a payment method and click to finalize.
So if you don’t have the Invoice payment method enabled, what else would you prefer?

Something which stands out in the above for me:

EE will always generate Invoices.
You can disable them completely (which will also remove the link on the thank you page), but the Invoice is generated on the fly using the Transaction details. Its not generated separately and stored, dynamically when you load the page.
I say this because it sounds like you are trying just disable invoices and the last time someone requested something similar it wasn’t just about selecting a payment method, so I’m wondering what the end goal is.
