Hi,

I am running EE 4.6.18p, and have installed an SSL certificate on my server. I’ve followed the instructions at https://eventespresso.com/wiki/espresso-sslhttps/ and forced SSL on all the critial pages, but I’m having some trouble making sure that Paypal Standard payment returns to the secure version of my thank you page.

When using Safari 8, when Paypal attempts to redirect me back I am getting ‘This is a non-secure form’ error. When I click Send, it redirects back to my site and seems to redirect eventually to an https version of the thank you page.

From what I can understand, Event Espresso lets Paypal know which URL to redirect back to, but I can’t find any setting where I can set the Auto Return in the admin. How can I make sure the URL which Paypal is redirecting back to is a secure one?

Hi Alex,

Mike found a bug in the WordPress https that deals with this issue and opened a ticket here:

https://github.com/Mvied/wordpress-https/pull/31

It’s still not quite resolved yet, if I can find some more information on what needs to be done next I’ll update this thread with that information.
