WP version 3.6
EventEspresso version 3.1.33.L
WP install upgraded
EE install new

Hi folks, new user here.

I’m having some trouble with the EE plug-in. It’s installed, running, working fine, but I’ve made the jump to a license version and that’s where I’m running into problems.

Simply put, I cannot see the field under the General Settings for inputting my license key. I’m logged as Admin in WP, I’ve logged on here and retrieved my key. I’m already running the Calendar Plugin, but can’t get at it’s settings page (500 error).

I suspect the problem may be that the site hosting is on a Windows/IIS7 environment. The hosting is with Blacknight using their Windows Shared Minimus 2008 package.

Is this hosting a factor of the disappearing license field problem? What are the options for changing this sort of hosting? Does it require a ground up re-install of WP/EE?

Can anyone please advise?

Edit: I’ve found other topics that addressed the disappearing field issue, but they were resolved without shedding any light on the solution.

Hi Diane,

You are currently running the Lite version of the plugin which does not have an input field for a License key. 3.1.33.L

You need to install the premium version of the plugin. If you go to ‘Account’ on the top right of this page you will see all available downloads for your account on there.

Backup your current site and DB.

Download the latest version and install.

Also, Event Espresso is developed under LAMP.

It is what we recommend users to use as it generally causes less problems.

Moving servers is usually not too much of an issue IF the domain is staying the same. Its generally when domains change you’ll run into problems.

Have a read through here http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress

That’s pretty much the same for all installs.
