I use EE in Czech language and was able to translate almost everything that I needed, but there are certain areas where translation does not appear properly.
2)This is default behaviour as most currencies tend to be next the the numerical amount. It is also hard coded in. As such the only way to change it would be to edit a core file which we do not recommend.
If you want to do so, it is event-espresso/includes/organization_config.php. Find the currency and after it add a space and then save. You will need to change currency in the General Settings (say to US Dollars) ansave and then change it back.
Changing these settings can cause problems and it has been known to cause major issues with the database if done wrong, so if you attempt this, back up your database!
3/4) The EFT, Pending and Check look like they are not strings but variable responses from the database, I will have to get the developers to look into that, but I doubt it will be before version 3.2 is out and stable.
