I would like to delete all of my Transactions & Payment Transactions, but it requires me to delete the Transactions one by one.
Can you help me delete all of them without doing it one by one?

Hi there,
Transactions can only be deleted if they have no payments assigned to them so EE requires the payments are removed first, it is to try and make sure transactions are not deleted by mistake.
EE does not currently provide any functions to mass delete transactions and the associated data assigned to those transactions (payment, registrations etc) so each transaction needs to be done manually.
Can I ask why you need to remove the transactions?
Do you not need to keep records of your previous registrations/payments?

Hi Tony,
I want change my Event Questions and delete them, It told me that my questions cannot be change or delete because people are registered to them.
I download all the files already.
My organization host about a dozen events a year and next year plan to have thousand of people sign up, but I would like to redo my event questions (use the function so it be easier for people to answer and for us to analyze all the data. As well make it easier for us to find the questions.

You’re correct that you can remove a question if it has answer assigned to registrations, however Questions are assigned to Question groups you can just remove the question from the Question Group, create another question and assign that new question back to the group.
The original question will not be deleted but your new registrations will use the new question.
Would that work?

That could work, but I just have to many questions and I rather not keep old questions because all the questions look about the same and I am the only staff. So sometimes I make a mistake and I rather not risk it.

Currently the two options you have to work around your problem are:
1. Manually remove the payments from transactions, then removed the transaction, then remove the registration for that transaction. To remove the transactions in bulk you would need to manipulate the database manually, the problem with that is transactions have multiple relationships setup and all of the data needs to be updated so its not a simply task.
2. Remove the question from the question group(s) you are using and add a new question to the group.
I would say 2 is your safest and quickest option.

Hi Anthony,
It doesn’t show a payment in that transaction to delete, and along with that, it looks like the registration data is missing there. So you’ll probably need to go with Tony’s suggestion to “Remove the question from the question group(s) you are using and add a new question to the group.”
