Transactions will only work if Firefox is used.

Customer transactions will not complete unless Firefox is used. Otherwise the following error message is generated when using Google Chrome, Edge, Internet Explorer: “Choose at least one event” and “Enable cookies”. We recently had the iconv module installed, but this only allowed Firefox to work. This seems to be related to previous error messages received and resolved. Your help will be appreciated.

Hi Bill,

Do you happen to be logged into the site when using Firefox, but not logged into the site with the other browsers? If so, that may be a caching issue. Otherwise it could be an issue with SSL on your site where the front end of the site isn’t served as https, but the wp-admin is served as https.

Hi Josh, we are not logged into the site with Firefox. This browser was only used to test for something that would work. Our computer skills are limited. Can I get Event Espresso support to help resolve this problem? Bill

Hi Bill,

It turns out I do work for Event Espresso support, and I’m actually trying to help you with this. I checked your website and the registration page is being served from a varnish cache. That needs to be changed so the registration page isn’t served from a cache. Can you reach out to your host or the individual that built the website and ask them to deactivate caching for the registration page? If they aren’t sure which pages need to have no caching, we have a list with some instructions here:
