Transaction Cost Is Off by 1 Cent

We use Event Expresso with integration to Stripe for credit card processing. We have 2 instances where the transaction cost of a ticket was less by 1 cent. The cost on the ticket was off by 1 cent compared to the actual charge on the credit card. I confirm we do not use any tax or surcharge settings for the tickets. Is there something I can check on to see why the credit card charge amount was off by 1 cent?

Strange! We’ll need some additional details on the event/ticket to troubleshoot this further.

Did the registrant use any promotion codes or did you have any promotions applied to the event?

Was it a single registration or a group?

What was the cost of the ticket and the total?

Hi Tony, we do not use any promotion codes. This was a single transaction.

One of our transactions was set at $1047.12. But the credit card transaction was billed at $1047.11 which is a penny off. Are users able to change the charge amount during the checkout process?

No, users cannot change the charge amount.

How was the pricing for this set up please? I’d like to set the same ticket up locally and see if I can spot what is happening.

Is there a email I can send additional information? I can send you the details and the invoice receipt which looks strange as well.

Hi there,

Just noting here that we are working on this via email.

Currently, I can’t see any reason for this to happen and can not reproduce using the same setup locally so we’ll need to do some more troubleshooting on the site itself.
