I am trying to do a horseback riding registrations, but I need to have it in 1 hour time slots with 8 horses in each slot, so I tried the qty with time slots, recurring weekly every Saturday and Sunday, from 10-4 , so When I did this and I try and sign up, with 8 people for the one time slot it goes down by 1, so there is 6 different times, 8 people I added the quantity to 48, It just doesnt make any sense why it would only drop 1 reg when you put a quantity of 8, I am not a programmer but it seems like a misplaced If statement, If we can fix this possibly I need it like yesterday, I dont want to have to make 6 different events with 8 regs for each day, cause thats 12 different excel sheets they will need to print. http://www.rightbraingroup.com/miller. Please help :-).

The time slot feature is an experimental feature that doesn’t support group registration. If it were something as simple as a misplaced if we would have added that support.

so what is the alternative? When is this going to be done?

One would be to not allow group registrations, the other would be to set up an event for each time slot.

To be honest, I think that the limits to time slot feature might get removed from the next major version of Event Espresso.

well thats 12 events each weekend and 12 print outs… anyway to get them all on one page? ….

We faced a similar issue with our laser tag. We eventually went with the individual time slots and used the recurring event manager add-on to populate the multiple events. Take a look at our solution at http://www.tagpartyrecon.com.

This works well for us, but I do caution that you could have calendar disappearing problems if you have two many events on a shared server.

Hey thanks, do you print out all your sheets at once? for each day?
or do you have to do each one, for each day and each time slot

Peter

Why are you printing a sheet? We use the ticketing add-on and scan in the ticket when the customer arrives, or simply look up the attendee/event report for the day directly (we use iPhone or iPad to do this in the field).

At the top of the admin report screen just select this month or this day. You can also use the filter for the month.

Peter

Robert, I am not sure what you mean by “but what about the display page on the site”

@robert

You could try using the [EVENT_LIST] shortcode along with the events_per_page parameter (and the category id) to display a set number of events per page.

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#event-list

Peter How did you get the calendar that way? Because Mine is really messed up!

Peter

June 28, 2012 at 12:44 pm

Robert, I can’t find your calendar so I am not sure what needs correcting. I am using V1.11 of the calendar and am only showing the event title which is the session time. I use category colors to show special, private and open events. Registration is set to 2 months ahead of the event and ends on the start time of the event.

You should check your registration page and “additional rides” as this looks to be the total number of rides.

One more question, I downloaded the iphone app… didnt show any of my events, whats the URL End point? Just my URL? And is this Iphone app working?

Peter

June 28, 2012 at 7:47 pm

Robert it will always show the extra days. I have my week starting on a Sunday (see settings) so it look a little different. You also look to have different color settings for your two categories (Saturday and Sunday).

Unfortunately I am not using version 2 of the calendar or ticketing and there are significant changes in the color setting and ticketing so I really can’t help. the ticketing documentation can be found here https://eventespresso.com/wiki/espresso-ticketing/

The end point is the url where you have the WordPress application. You will need to enter your WordPress admin username and password into the application.

Peter

June 28, 2012 at 8:47 pm

You only need to enter the url http://rightbraingroup.com/miller/
and then your user name and password. Unless you hit “LOGIN” it remembers the end point and logins. Hit “START SCANNING” to start the app.

Hey Pete How did you get the captcha to work?

Peter

July 10, 2012 at 12:05 pm

Simply filled in the required information in the recaptcha section of general settings. You will need to register your site and get a public and private key (there is a link on the page at the top of the recaptcha section).

Robert Gambino

July 10, 2012 at 12:08 pm

U did that, Turned it to yes, but it didnt work…

Peter

July 10, 2012 at 12:19 pm

LOL, are you logged in? If you are you wont see the recaptcha dialog box. When I go to register on your site the recaptcha dialog box is there and I can register. I have not confirmed the registration, but you should check that I haven’t reserved a ride.
