Hi –
We made an error and created an individual ticket w/ a discount. This affects 6 tickets. The ticket with a discount was ended to prevent further purchases and a new individual ticket was created for the correct price. 1) Would we be able to cancel the purchases tickets, refund the money and ask them to re-purchase their ticket. 2) Can we invoice the ticket for the balance due? (can this be done through Attendee Mover add-on?
1) Would we be able to cancel the purchases tickets, refund the money and ask them to re-purchase their ticket.
Yes, you need to issue the refund through your payment provider (EE does not issue refunds, it just records a refund for you).
Apply a refund in Event Espresso, then cancel the registrations and as the users to re-register.
We can provide details on this if needed, however…
2) Can we invoice the ticket for the balance due? (can this be done through Attendee Mover add-on?
Yes and this may be the smoothest way to handle this other than above.
Use the attendee mover to ‘move’ the registration to the other ticket.
On the last step of the move it will ask you if you want to trigger notifications and if you select to do that EE will send out a pending payment message to the user. They can use that link to view the registration and pay the remaining value.
