I found some CSS in another thread in this forum that is helping make my ticket selector mobile responsive (sort of) on my Avada theme’d site. My question is: why am I needing to use custom css to achieve responsiveness? Is EE4 not mobile responsive out of the box? I suppose it could it be that my theme or another plugin is somehow conflicting with EE4, but Avada itself is mobile responsive. I expect that a premium plugin like EE4 would be mobile friendly so I am surprised to discover that isnt the case.

Event Espresso 4 is mobile responsive out of the box. The trouble is even though Avada is also mobile and responsive for the most part, Avada injects some extra margins and padding onto html table cells that actually breaks the responsiveness. That’s why there are specific CSS fixes for Avada. Other themes do not need those fixes (and even look kind of janky with those fixes), so they’re not included with EE by default.
If you preview the same page using the WP Customize preview theme feature you’ll see what I mean. You might also expect that a premium theme like Avada would be mobile friendly, so why no surprise to discover that isn’t the case?
